E-MOBILITY WILL BRING CLEANER AIR
- Many cities are planning to ban conventional cars during the next decade
- More than 300 electric vehicle models will be launched by 2025
- Within a few years electrical vehicles (EV) will be cheaper than similar petrol or diesel cars
- Range anxiety caused by poor charging infrastructure is the main issue preventing drivers from buying EVs
e-Mobility and
the Environment
- Conventional cars will be banned by 2030 in many countries and cities in the European Union as CO₂ emission rules are getting stricter
- If Europe wants to be climate neutral by 2050 no internal combustion engine should be on the road by that time
- Switching to electric cars has a positive impact on air quality and even small improvements in it have long term health benefits
- Electric vehicles can also reduce carbon emissions - they produce 50% less CO₂ than an average car
- 64% of drivers in Germany are interested in buying an EV as their next car but most mention charging as their greatest concern
- 72% of Europeans live in cities, most of us don't have houses or dedicated parking spaces and will have to rely on public charging infrastructure
- Even if you have a house, charging will be a challenge in the future. Electricity companies may limit the number of home chargers on streets.
- To enable the wide adoption of e-mobility, 1,000,000 public chargers need to be installed in the EU by 2025
